Every attempt is also made to promote sensitivity and an understanding of the wider society through interaction with important and well known personalities in the areas of community service and assistance to the underprivileged. Each student is expected to complete a quota of what is called socially useful productive work (SUPW) which will help develop an understanding of the wider community, inculcate the necessity of sharing scarce technical resources with the underprivileged, demonstrate how to be participants and leaders in social causes.
